30×30: Losing Hope

And all of a sudden the problem wasn’t that he didn’t like me, it was that he did like someone else. That fact killed all hope. Then it didn’t matter what I thought. It didn’t matter how I built him up in my head. The mountain of adoration I set him up on I then realized was misplaced. Maybe he wasn’t thinking about me, but neither was I.

I’m in the last year of my twenties. Recently I found the Glamour Magazine list of 30 things every woman should have and know by 30. This is me working on number 16.
